Unfortunately, if your computer has never hibernated properly, it may not be compatible with Windows 7’s hibernate feature. So, if you want the hibernation to work, try doin the following. 1) Go to Control panel -> System and Security2) Click on Power Options3) Next to the chosen power plan It would be crazy to start taking the battery out of your laptop to make it work, and unplugging a desktop seems equally silly to me.
