High Pitch Sound From Audio?PleaseHelp
I'm 29, but had two 15" JL's from 16 to 20 years old in my car so my hearing shouldn't be all that good. Wasted your time. And I'm pretty sure the whine comes through the speakers when they are plugged in to when the whining starts. I did some research and found out that the issue is actually hearing the electricity from usb, since it was usb powered.
If you can try another SSP or receiver and see if it goes away. In any case I took home the computer with the GigaByte motherboard and that is what I am running now, with the high-pitch noise. Try going to your audio properties and adjusting the line-in volume to see if this noise changes in pitch. It's so hard for me to work on the actual job of mastering because I can constantly hear this tone whenever I turn the music up loud enough to work with. Am I going crazy? When I got my Mbox 1 and bought balaced TRS-XLR cables the problem went away...all is forgiven.
